About Karen
With 12 years in the industry as a wedding and portrait professional, I have a wide range of outdoor/natural light and indoor/studio lighting experience, and have mentored with some of the worlds top photography professionals. I've received several awards and accolades in wedding and portrait work and hold professional certifications as a member of multiple professional associations. I've stopped taking weddings to focus on my studio work, specializing in newborn, maternity, and business portraits in my Downtown McKinney studio location. I have a heart for helping others succeed and my systematic teaching style helps break down both the technical and the artistic aspects of photography in an easy to understand manner that is accessible for most learners.
Before going pro in photography, I earned an A.A in Web Design and educated my seven children at home. I'm also a musician/vocalist, love good literature, fast cars, gardening, hiking and training with my menagerie of rescue dogs, and basking in the sun along quiet beaches or poolside.
I look forward to helping you achieve your dreams!
