Booking Karen Laine Photography starts with a phone call. Our high touch custom service starts with getting to know you a bit and discovering what or who in your life is most important to you. Once we know what gives you joy and purpose, we can design a session that is perfect for you beyond your best expectations. At the end of the call, we will finalize your booking by collecting your session fee and selecting a date. We accept most major credit cards, checks, and cash for orders.  In order to book your session, we require the reservation fee to secure your date, which usually happens on our phone consultation.  We can accept that right over the phone by credit card.

Yes!  We stand behind the quality or our products and sessions!  If you are not completely thrilled with your session, we will reshoot.  If you ever have an issue with any of your art, we will make it right.

Karen Laine Photography offers sessions both in the studio and on location.  Be sure to mention your desire for an on location session when you talk with us.

I'm glad you asked!  We believe passionately in the power of printed art work hanging in the home.  Well established case Studies done by respected organizations such as Tulane University have shown that printed photos have a significant impact on the human psyche.  We have seen first hand how impactful the art we create for our clients is and this is why printed works are the focus of our offerings and service.  However, we know you need the peace of mind of having an archive of the photos you've purchase, so we include a companion digital copy of each purchased piece. Up until recently, we have always offered these on a beautiful crystal flash drive.  However, technology is rapidly changing and you will soon be able to download your companion digitals online.  The responsibility to carefully download and back up these files for safekeeping in multiple locations is solely on you. The gallery will have an expiration date.

My background is in multimedia design, but I have been operating a professional portrait studio for over 10 years.  As a self taught photographer, I have sought out many avenues to improve and hone my craft and continue to invest thousands each year in education and mentorships with some of the industry's most respected pros worldwide.  I proudly hold a certification in newborn portraiture from the Accredited Professional Newborn Photographers International and have received extensive training in newborn physiology, safety, and posing from world renown newborn photographers and healthcare professionals. I'm a member of Professional Photographers of American and the Dallas Professional Photographers Association.  I also maintain an infant and adult CPR certification.
